Deafness Research UK is the medical Charity for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People. They exist to secure radical improvements in the Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment of all forms of Hearing Impairment. Ultimately, their aim is to find Cures for these distressing and neglected Disabilities.

Hearing Concern is a National Charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for people who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.

The Royal Association for Deaf people promotes the welfare and interests of Deaf people (by which they mean a Deaf person whose first or preferred language is Sign Language). The Royal Association for Deaf people was founded in 1841; RAD is the oldest Organisation in England for Deaf Adults.

The patron of The Royal Association for Deaf people is Her Majesty the Queen.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People was launched at the worlds most famous Crufts Dog Show in 1982. Since then they have contiued to train dogs to alert Deaf people tospecific sounds in the Home, Workplace or Public Buildings. To date they have placed 1300 Hearing Dogs throughout the United Kingdom and The Channel Islands.
